What is spin painting?

Liquid acrylic paint is applied to a rotating canvas. The machine developed by the studio reaches speeds of up to 1,000 revolutions per minute. Colour, rotation, speed and timing create an individual artwork.

Where is the studio?

Studio Jans Echternacht is at Oderberger Strasse 35, 10435 Berlin, in Prenzlauer Berg. Studio visits and viewings of available originals are possible by appointment.

Do I need artistic experience?

No. You receive a personal introduction, choose your colours and are guided while creating on the spin art machine.

Do I need special clothing?

Normally not. The setup is designed to keep the paint controlled on the canvas.

How long does a private workshop take?

A private studio workshop takes around 60 minutes, including the introduction, colour selection and creation of your artwork.

Which private workshop formats and prices are available?

Workshop 50 costs EUR 95 and Workshop 60 costs EUR 125; both include two people. Workshop 80 costs EUR 185 and includes four people, or families with children up to six people. Workshop 100 costs EUR 280, Workshop 120 EUR 450 and Workshop 140 EUR 700; each includes four people. Additional participants are possible on request for the larger formats.

Which canvas sizes and shapes are available?

Round canvases are available with diameters of 50, 60, 80, 120 or 140 cm, plus a square 100 × 100 cm canvas. Heart-shaped or square canvases are also available for Workshop 50 and Workshop 80.

When is the artwork ready, and can it be shipped?

The artwork dries in the studio, receives a protective varnish and is ready for collection after around 24 hours. Shipping within Germany costs EUR 8 for 50 cm and EUR 15 for 80 cm. International shipping is available on request.

How many people can join a team event?

Team events are possible for 4 to 50 people. Depending on the group, each person creates an individual work, smaller teams create several pieces, or everyone works together on one large artwork.

Which team-event formats and starting prices are available?

Team Event 50 starts at EUR 360 with four artworks, Team Event 80 at EUR 185, Team Event 100 at EUR 280, Team Event 120 at EUR 450 and Team Event 140 at EUR 700. The final quote depends on the number of participants, artworks and the desired schedule.

How long does a team event take?

Team Events 100, 120 and 140 take around 60 minutes. For Team Events 50 and 80, the duration depends on the number of artworks and is specified in the quote.

Can a company logo be integrated?

Yes. For Team Events 80, 100, 120 and 140, the studio can integrate a company logo into the artwork afterwards. Processing takes around one week and costs EUR 200. Please include the logo integration in your quote request.

When does Brunch & Art take place?

Brunch & Art takes place every Saturday and Sunday at Restaurant Bonvivant in Berlin Schöneberg. Private workshops start at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30.

What do Brunch & Art 60 and 80 cost?

Brunch & Art 60 costs EUR 125 and includes two people. Brunch & Art 80 costs EUR 185 and includes four people; additional participants are possible on request. The workshop takes 30 minutes. Brunch is not included in the workshop price and is paid separately at Bonvivant.

Is Dinner & Art available for companies and groups?

Yes. Dinner & Art is available as an evening event for companies, weddings and private groups from three canvases. The date and menu are coordinated with Bonvivant; prices start at EUR 375.

Which occasions are suitable for mobile events?

Spin Art 30 Private is designed for weddings and private celebrations. Spin Art 30 Business is intended for business events such as film premieres, openings and trade fairs.

How much space does the mobile setup need, and does the location stay clean?

Spin Art 30 Business requires an area of 2 × 3 metres. For private events, the exact space is coordinated with the location. The setup is designed to prevent splashes so guests and the location stay clean.

What do guests create at mobile events?

At private events, guests create round or heart-shaped 30 cm canvases. The business format uses round 30 cm canvases. Suitable transport boxes are included.

Can the transport boxes be personalised?

Yes. The white boxes made from sustainable recycled material can be printed with the event date, a company or brand logo and a slogan. Personalisation can be added from EUR 150, depending on quantity and print requirements.

What does a mobile spin painting event cost?

Spin Art 30 Private starts at EUR 800 including travel within Berlin. Spin Art 30 Business starts at EUR 1,500 including travel within Berlin. Outside Berlin, travel and possible accommodation costs are calculated according to effort.

Which gift vouchers are available?

Gift vouchers are available for the private workshops listed on the voucher page and for Brunch & Art at Bonvivant. You do not need to know the date when purchasing.

How is the voucher delivered and paid for?

The printed folded gift card is posted to you on the day of the order. Alternatively, the voucher can be sent quickly as a PDF by email. Payment is made by invoice through PayPal or bank transfer.

Can I add a personal message to the voucher?

Yes. The printed folded gift card has a blank page where you can write your own personal message.

How is a voucher redeemed?

The recipient contacts the studio, mentions the voucher and agrees on a suitable date. The voucher is credited toward the booked workshop or experience.

Can I view and buy originals at the studio?

Yes. Available originals by Jans Echternacht can be viewed at the studio by appointment. The studio can also send a current overview with formats and prices.

Are commissions with logos or emblems possible?

Yes. Commissions can be created to suit a room, colour palette and format. Company logos, club crests or emblems can be integrated into an artwork; a commission is also possible without a team event.

What are artweeks 2027?

From 19 to 28 September 2027, Studio Jans Echternacht will show works at Hotel Schloss Ragaz in Bad Ragaz. Private workshops, team events, Dinner & Art and hotel packages will take place in parallel.
